No prob Dan. Make sure you order them on the site as soon as you can. They are set aside as people order them.

RE: JR 12X Owners - Upgrade your battery pack to Eneloops
Chad, I had the batteries installed by a friend, they charged up fully and after using the radio to 10.1 V I went to recharge the battery and the led charge light on my JR charger does not light up??? tried it on the receiver battery and it charges.
i also noticed the case does not close completely due to the eneloop batteries being a bit bigger than factory JR batteries, any suggestions? Can I send you the case with the batteries? If so can you send me your shipping address and form of payment? Thanks.

H,
Sounds like your charging fuse is blown. Just run a jumper (wire) from one side of the diode/fuse to the other. The only thing you will have to watch out for is you will not have a reverse polarity protection in the radio. Also, GET RID of that wall wart charger and get a good quality computerized charger.
The reason the case does not close well, is your friend may have put too much solder on the batteries. There is not much room for this unit.
I would rather you not send the pack to me at this point, as I really don't like inheriting problems created by other people, which is why I offer to do it in the first place. Somehow, if I am unable to rectify the problem, it suddenly becomes my fault. []
Solder the jumper wire in, remove some of the solder on the batteries, and be careful when putting it back in the case. The 10X cases do fit a little tighter than the 12X cases, and it may not close completely.
Call me if you have any specific questions.
Chad
PS, I created a picture tutorial here on the jet forum. Do a search under "picture tutorial"

RE: JR 12X Owners - Upgrade your battery pack to Eneloops
I lost a plane yesterday while doing a training cord with my son. I guess this pulls more power than by itself. I had started using the older JR charger(because of the bad reports on the factory JR 12X charger). It had charged all night! About 10 flights Flying a Parkzone Trojan (thank goodness) on a buddy box with my son the radio did not beep low battery just went out. Brought it homeand after 12 hrs it is now back to 11.1v. I am going to inquire about the change to the eneloops from chad. Can you use the older factory chargers without issues? If someone has an algorythm on how to break in these batts and the correct discharge. charge rates and stop points that would be great!.

Douglas,
Throw away the charger and switch out the batteries. They're both crap. You need to use a good computerized Nimh charger.

RE: JR 12X Owners - Upgrade your battery pack to Eneloops
Have been using a eneloop TX pack with great success for one year till last Monday. I, ME, MYSELF left the TX on for about 30 hours. Eneloops as with just about all other kind of batteries didn't like that. So I called Chad last Monday afternoon to order a new pack and had them in my mailbox the following Thursday morning.
Thanks for the great service.

RE: JR 12X Owners - Upgrade your battery pack to Eneloops
Just got my pack. Thanks for rushing it out Chad!
It installed easily.
Question on a component that was wired into the stock JR 12x pack between cells 4 and 5. This little device (tan in the picture) nestled down in the crack between cells. The black in the picture is heatshrink on wires leading from the cell contacts. Thoughts on what this device could be? It did not transfer it to my new Eneloop pack.
Thanks, Dan

Dan,
You are welcome. Bob is exactly right. My guess the reason they are put on there is because of the wal-wart charger. Nimh do NOT like to be trickle charged. Charge them to capacity and them remove them from the charger. These eneloop cells hold their charge for months of no use, and for weeks when using them.
Have fun.

RE: JR 12X Owners - Upgrade your battery pack to Eneloops
Hi Chad,
What is the life of a eneloop Tx pack? Mine is now more than 2 years old and not holding charge like it use to when new, i have to admit that i have been charging the Tx pack with a multilader at 150Mah.
The reason i do not charge with a digital charger is, the Orbit and schluze chargers i have, will not let me charge the batteries direct in the Tx, i think its because of the diode in the Tx. Is there a way i can use my digital chargers and bypass the diode without removing the packs from the Tx.
Thanks
Chatty.

Hi Ravill, yes i do have a 12X and i have been using eneloop packs from day 1, the pack is now 2.5 years old and will not give the same run time like they use to.
Bcovish, how do you charge your eneloops in the Tx if you use a digital charger?

I use a Hyperion 615 charger, Nimh setting and charge at the 300 mah rate. In the TX or removed from the TX, makes no difference.

RE: JR 12X Owners - Upgrade your battery pack to Eneloops
The lifespan is about 1000 cycles (with good treatment) for the original eneloops, and around 1500 for my newer versions. A digital charger at ~300mah is perfect!
This really is the ultimate upgrade for your 12x/10x.

Dave,
Any radio that runs on the 8-AA style pack will benefit from this upgrade. With the 11x and 9303, you would just need to cut your adapter off you old pack and solder it to the new pack I send out.
