I saw the quality of this kit, it is strong, it is light.
Yet A few litle points to do and then she ready for the maiden.

It feels verry good to fly it and has a neutral behavior.
I made some small video clips and put them on Youtube.

tell me about that engine/reduction setup?
Hi John,
Here someexplanationcopied from this websitehttp://www.modellbau-schlundt.de/englisch/

The 2.5/1 gearbox ensures smooth running of the Zenoah G 62. The geared Zenoah G 62 turns a 34x20" propeller with a speed of 3000 rpm. Idle speed with this prop is around 800 rpm. The gearbox is very compact and ideal for installation in the Fly Baby. The distance between engine mount and propeller is only 190 mm (7.5&rdquo, the distance between center of crankshaft to center of gearbox shaft is only 80 mm (3.15&ldquo. Without engine the gearbox weighs only 2,160 g (4 4/5 lbs) and 4,150 g (9 1/5 lbs) with Zenoah G 62 (but without muffler). We use this gearbox in combination with the Zenoah G 62 in the Fly Baby with a wingspan of 3.8 m (149.6&rdquo and a flying weight of 17,500 g (38 3/5 lbs). The combination provides ample power for scale-like flying and aerobatics.
Here some pics of the Fly Baby.

I have built the 1/3 scale Fly Baby mono kit from Balsa USA and have considered building this 1/2 scale kit. Can you tell me what the quality of the kit and instruction manual was? Were all the parts included or did you find yourself going to the hobby shop to purchase little things that were not included?
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Ruud,

The kit is verry complete al the parts are there and from a high quality.
Look at the website of Wolfgang Schlundt to get more info http://www.modellbau-schlundt.de/

I looked at that site but it seems to be in German and so I am unable to read it. I did find the 1/2 scale kit at http://www.vogelsang-aeroscale.com however. Did you purchase your kit from the German site? If so, how does the price compare with the site I just showed you. Also, would you have any interest in selling your completed Fly Baby at any point in the future?
Thanks,
Mark
I have finally ordered mine, going to bee the project for next winter, i went for the hole package, plane, engine, gear, wing bags etc.
Anything you would change if you should start the build all over?
