"Just send it UPS"....LOL! I think i would drive to go pick that one up. I couldn't see it being delivered to the wrong address or have it all smashed. Both have happened to me, both claims denied. I did however recover the wrong address package only because the man it was delivered to was honest and went out of his way to find me with it. A Dumas Drag 'N Fly 60 hydroplane kit from wayback. The guy who saved the day said, "Dang heavy. What is it?" I kinda had to laugh to myself because those old Dumas kits are notorious for being overweight with wood.

Wow, Who would have thought! And in a pretty depressed market too. Shows I have an eye for something truly valuable.

Yes they did carry that rep and it was true in most cases but I did have one kit by Dumas that was an exception. It was a Little Tomahawk which was one of the kits that used to be by Veco. No it didn't have contest weight balsa, just wasn't near as heavy as most others I saw.
A number of others were guilty of heavy wood, Sterling, Scientific, and certainly Guillow's models... And this list is incomplete.

Here's a new one that might be interesting to watch. It's an old O&R Tether Car dealer promo, new in box plus paperwork. Minimum bid starting at $1,200.

I'm a moderate collector of these RTF's, and I was surprised too. They are just like coins; condition and rarity determines price. I sold a Cox RR1 on that site a while back, it went for a lot more than I imagined it would.

I just watched a Medallion .049 with the exhaust throttle go for $138.50, granted it looked to be in very good shape. But really, can they be worth that much?

A Wen Mac doesn't usually turn ones head.
I have seen one that really bears a look see. It is on that big auction site some love, some loath.
The box isin't much to look at and it seems to have done it's job well protecting what is inside. A control line, twin Wen Mac powered P-38 in absolutely beautiful condition. Take a peek.

I have a slghtly used plastic B25 u/c, of unknown make.
It has two 1/2 A engines (not cox) and is missing a couple of guns.
I didn't realize that it could have value.

Does anyone know what engines are in the B-25? Inquiring minds want to know!
Just a heads up folks, there is another really nice P-38 on the block and with six days to go already has 20 bids.
Item number: 200417193934
After the last one, I just gotta follow and see where this one goes.
