Default Transmitter connected to simulator

Hello,

I have an old T6xs which I would like to use with simulator programms.

I do not use it for flying any more, but do not want to smoke it.
In old days I was said that the transmitter should not be turned on without extended aerial.
Otherwise the energy generated by RF part (it does not have module) would not dissipate and overheat some electronic component on it.

Can I use this transmitter without extendig the aerial? Should I take the cristal out?

Regards,

Marian

Default RE: Transmitter connected to simulator

It would be best to have at least the thicker bottom section of the antenna extended to help dissipate any heat that might build up if you are going to be on the simulator for a length of time.

Also for anyone else in the area who might be using RC and for safeties sake, we recommend that you remove the crystal.

Sincerely,
