What other kind of electrics were you racing against? Any mods to your buggy?

good job Adam...looked like ya got hung up at the start....I hate the start of the race...especially if u get hung up..seems to take me awhile to get my ducks in a row to run smooth if I have a bad start...bad temper could quite possibly be part of it, I may get a lil mad...lol

Adam,

My son (11) is really getting interested in RCs. He has a little "toy" stock car [link=http://www3.revell.com/RPMz.rpmz.0.html]Revell RPMz[/link], but you can change gearing, tires, suspension, etc. He has been asking about the "real" hobby grades, and is really interested in electrics. I have been showing him some of your videos and stuff, and he really thinks they are cool. I think he is really leaning to get an XB10.

Are you running your XB10 straight stock? Have you changed motors? batteries? gearing? He is really getting psyched by what you are doing, and he wants to know what he needs to match your setup.

Thanks!

Bryan

How much difference did the lipo make? Did I read correctly that those were only $20 each? That seems like a good deal.

I am thinking start with the stock battery and maybe use some 3000 and 3300 mah packs I already have. Then if he stays interested, go to lipo.

yes u read it right... but sometimes it takes a long time to get if they are out of stock... took me a month to get mine. cuz they were out of stock. but the lipos give it a lil more punch and also last a hell of alot longer. i would start him off with the battery that comes with the XB10
