i want to buy hobao hyper 7 , can u help me please which engine shall i choose installed on it ?the hyper 21 or the hyper mach 28 , please i need ur opinion concerning which engine give me a better performance ... thank u for ur help !!!

well first things first are you racing or just bashing? if bashing the 28 will probably be better bc of the power but if racing you need the 21. in racing you are only aloud to race with a 21 unless your only doing club races but the 21 is better for racing for a couple of reason, the biggest reason is because it doesnt suck the fuel so you wont have to as many pit stops for fuel.

.21, thats enough power, less stress on the diffs and drive line, saves a bit of money and will drink less fuel+ longer playing time+more fun.

they are pretty much the same buggy but i would go with the hyper 7 TQ black. im pretty sure the regular one comes with a 28 and the TQ black come with a 21. but can you even get the regular one anymore? when i bought one a little over a year ago i ordered the regular one and they sent me the TQ black because towerhobbies said they stopped carrying them.

The Hyper 8.5 is a newer platform than the hyper 7, newer design more or less... As far as .21 or .28, .21 you will get better top end as it hits higher RPM, the .28 will give you more low end torque, and create more wear on the driveline, so I recommend a good .21. If you get the TQ black it comes with the 3port turbo Hyper .21 which is a pretty well made mill and willserve you good for bashin and racin with your buddies... I would recommend either the black or standard to start, then as you get more into it you can get the hop ups for it and turn it into a serious competer for racing if you end up getting into it later on

A good .21 will have more than enough power to light up the tires. The tires on a 1/8 scale buggy will probably never get all a .21 engine's power to the ground, much less a .28's. Not unless you're on pavement of course.

turbo would maybe, not sure, if you want power get a modded .21 if u plan to race at all you need to run a .21

I would atke a good .21 over a .28 any day!

I Would say the hyper engine... it is a better engine in my opinion... I have never cared myself for HPI engines, they are allright, but have been problematic for me. My hyper .21 is a little beast though, and holds a great tune, and always starts up right away... really like it alot.

Sorry I do not know much on that particular engine honestly... the guy to ask about engines is supertib he knows alot more than I do. you may want to google it also.

if the 8.5 is in your budget it is a newer chassis. The hyper 7 is a great platform for starting off with IMHO, the Hyper 8.5 is more updated, and like I said a newer chassis design and all, I personally love my 7 tho... been racing it for awhile now and it is a solid buggy. In the ned it just boils down to personal preference and what you can find parts availability for and available hop ups depending on where you want to go. The Hyper 7 is a great basher and a capable racer out of the box, and has alot of available upgrades, the 8.5 is geared more towards racing out of the box and is just as sturdy. I personally have no experience with that buggy, but you may want to check the threads for the 8.5 on here to make your own opinion.
