electric moter carnage!
Well rod, this is not for you. well maybe it is... just for kicks!
This is why you dont run a over sized pinion on your rc... and this is why you dont want your motor over heating!
this is a epic 19Turn mod moter. ya 50$ motor.
First, it melted the solder off the end bell! ya it was that hot
Second. The bearing was melted into the end bell and siezed on the shaft.
After geting it off... (i dont think that is suposto come out?)
and here is the carnage of the inside! *** NOTE THE COMMS AND THE DISCOLORATION OF THE BEARING!***
YUCK!!!
And side beside comparison between a good 19 turn and a screwed one... also note the Burn marks on the comms they are melted at that point..

Yes.....and with Today's Hi Amperage Batteries,,,,you gotta Monitor the Temp of Motors and Give em a Rest/Chance to Cool down.
I went to the Track for some Practice time with the Slash. I have four 5000mah batts.....and the Motor got HOT........
Moral of the Story?.......Just cuz you have a Battery capable of lasting 45 minutes,,,,,doesnt necessarily mean that you should run that long,,with out stopping to cool down.
