so, contact is [email protected] or what? I need to get some trans parts I think I may have a ball diff issue.
I actually have 3 trucks, I need to get one running right. Then I'll see about a possible second.

Thanks for any help, man I'll have to drill holes and screw this diff solid. I just know it'll be gear strip with a locked diff in time.

yeah, that is how I got in touch with him, but that was a while ago.
I also spoke to him on the phone. Google MRC and find their office #. They might still have a few more of those chassis.

I also bought the metal gears that someone made. I saved them as replacement parts as my original gears are fine.
All this seems like a lifetime ago... sorry I don't remember where I got the metal gears but I think it is in one of these threads.

thanks guys

here is my chassis, swapped around some transmition parts vand now have a roller. Hopefuly everything is in good enough shape to hold up for a little while. I bought a 14t pinion, could have gone larger but maybe that can wait.

Thanks, simple green and a rag when it was all apart helped.
How it runs, hard to say really, tires are old and hard as steel so I just spin everywhere
I'm going to have to saw them off the rims then dremel the beads clean and mount up something new.

I guess for a minute or two it was fun, punch it at half throttle and it would still spin tires. I have 3s lipo packs I plan on using, but not until I get some tires. Even just tappping the brakes it locks the tires and spins around backwards. Picture riding on ice, handles the same right now with these tires.

Froze my butt off to make a quick run today, lasted just over 5 minutes I was just to cold sitting in the back lot. Ran well, here is a couple nice outdoors shots

oh, and it's fast enough I don't think I need to try a 3s lipo either

looks good. I am glad to see them in use. I think I will bring mine to our race track and see how it does. Am sure there will be some people that will have no idea what it is.

Tell me about it. I keep getting asked when did Tamiya make that? They think MRC is Tamiya and I try to explain MRC was a 1980's tamiya importer to the USA but it does no good.

12mm or 14mm hex's up front?
Really quite simple.
Hardest part will be making custom length tie rods.

Parts needed are stampede-slash http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXSGZ9&P=Z rear uprights (stub axle carriers)
1150 bearings
stub axles I happened to have tamiya #9805502 from a mini cooper
850 bushing for axle slop
drive pin
12 or 14mm hex

I drilled the inner pivot hole (closer to bearings) larger to fit the MRC king pin.
The traxxas part fits the C-hub perfectly after drilling.
Then reassemble and make your own tie rods. I haven't done that part yet so I don't have measurements.

Here is my second TK with the traxxas axle carriers up front. Junfac widener/adaptors all the way around. In the rear I used a 10mm drill bit setup for short depth to allow the TK'as brass axle hub drive to set in nice.

This set of wheels-tires are stock on the Ground Pounder I had sitting here, they're 12mm hubs.

I would guese between 100-150.00 if it's transmission is good.
original body still clear/unpainted to that good luck, let me know if you ever find some. They're from 1992 so anything still ''virgin'' will be a rarity.

I have a clear body but I am keeping it. I was only able to find one. If I find another one I will paint it but keep one clear.

Started hacking this body out for another project and had a thought, ''try it on a TK''.

I think I'll have to get another of these bodies for my TK. I'll have to make new side skirts, but other than that it looks pretty good.

Saw this done here, a shortened TK truck to use maxx sized bodies. I only took about 1'' off. I have a spare chassis so I figured give it a try. I bolted the 2 chassis together sliding one forward. I used the forward rear arm mount hole as a rear hole and drilled new transmision and forward arm mount holes. I also cut the trans slot longer. Then notched the chassis sides for suspension arm clearence.

Great Information here! thanks

I have several questions but wanted to start with this.
Can a pull start be put onto the stock Thunder Tiger PRO 21R engine?

I found this part: NO.PN0256 STARTING SET - But it is for the PRO 21BR or PRO 21BXR engine
http://www.tiger.com.tw/product/9475.html (look on page 5 of the Spare Parts List)

anyone have an idea?
I am hoping to buy the set and get rid of the Motor/Electric start.

This is my first nitro and I am having a blast with it...Just learning and tinkering. I will post some photos as I get it cleaned up and running good.

Thanks

**EDIT**

Or mabey one of these would work?

No you can't. Sorry. If you want to you can change engines with a pull start on it. you might have to change motor mounts and stuff like that. This is what I did so I can use a starter box. I will try to find the pictures to show you.
