Default Are there any Lipos in stock?

As above, Iwant to order a charger, which I have already picked out and is in stock at HobbyKing, but does anyone know of any low-medium priced battery packs, either 2s or 3s, hard or soft cased, 20c or above and at least 4200 mAh that are actually in stock? All the Blue lipos and Turnigy are out of stock, are there any other reasonably priced options that are actually available?

Not quite as cheap as the Turnigy, but it is also not perpetually out of stock. Supply & Demand, my friend.

Ah, thanks guys!

Jeremy, you linked me that one before, and for some reason Iwas thinking it wasnt enough for a VXL, but now that I look it again, not sure why Ithought that! Hobbyking is in HK isnt it? If so, the shipping will be much better to Aus than from the USanyway

Would Ibe best to change the plug on my car to suit the one on the battery? Or the other way around... just a bit hesitant to go cutting wires on the battery!

I run deans on everything.. That said.. Yes, I changed the plug on the battery. Just have to be caurful not to arc the wires when changing plugs. Nothing a little electrical tape cannot handle

Iam 99% sure that this is what Ineed, seems it just replaces the standard lead on the Zippy battery packs, does this sound correct?

Cheers!

Looks like you're all set searlesy.

The only problem I see is that your batteries have 10 gauge wire and the Traxxas connector has 14 gauge. Also, the batteries don't have jacks for the banana plugs, so you're still going to have some soldering or splicing to do.

I don't use Traxxas connectors, so I'm not sure, but will 10 AWG even fit into them?

When I cut off the stock connectors from my Turnigys and solder the Deans on, it was pretty funny. The wire is about 3X as massive as the Deans' tabs.

PowerPoles are really the way to go with these huge wires.

Let us know you're going to put the Traxxas connectors onto the 10 AWG wires.

Would the best way be just to cut the wires on the battery, slip some heat shrink over the cable, cut the Traxxas plug midway along the harness cable, solder it on to the battery cable and shrink over it? Would there be any problems with the different gauge wire in this setup?

HobbyKing has a MASSIVE turnover rate and if you want to get their bargain-basement deals, you need to put your order through even if the site says "out of stock". Once the part is "back ordered", it rarely takes more than a few days to get to "reserved" status. If you wait for the website to show stock, you will always be behind those who have already paid. These are high-demand items and there will always be supply, so long as there is demand. Create the demand, and the supply will materialize.

The good thing for me is that HK is much closer, therefore much quicker to ship to Australia than from the US, hopefully Ishould have some arrivals very shortly, although unfortunately, my batteries are going to arrive much before my charger, so the proximity of the batteries wont really help, and besides, my car only just left the US yesterday anyway!

I have the turnigy packs and use Traxxas connectors on them..I have these packs

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...dProduct=10277

and when you place an order and it "says" back-ordered it will not take that long to get here, I got mine within 2 weeks..
