got any nice experiences with the guitar you want to share? see any great gigs live? meet any famous musicians ? why not share all here as we would all be very intrested to find out!

MY TOP ones would be something like this but im sure we all have differnt taste.

1/ MARK KNOPFLER (dire straits)
this guy as you all know is a ledgend, i could listen to him forever...

2/ jimmy page
led zepplen,need i say anymore..

3/ jimmy hendrix
man couldnt this guy make that guitar talk ...

4/ randy rhodes
ozzy osbourne lead guitarist who died on a plane crash in the early eighties (rip),he featured in the wizzard of ozz album and he was a ledgend with lead guitar.

5/ kirk hammet
metallica front man with the lead guitar,i know he wouldnt be one of the greatest but as a heavy metal guitarist he probably isnt far off the mark.

6/ eddie van halen
i love this guys stuff i think he is great with a guitar,where his music was a little bit on the soft side when i was growing up (as i was in to heavy metal those days) i still liked him on guitar,remember him being featured on micheal jacksons "beat it"

7/steve harris
iron maiden,i think he is a great guitarist,i listen to there music often when driving and i think he is up there with the best...

8/ slash
guns n roses
remember all those intros in the "appitite for destruction" album......slash must be one of the best really

9/prince
i dont care (not being sexist or anything here) gay and all as he is he is some man with a guitar

10 angus young
AC/DC this man prob would be one of my first choices with a guitar.

Prince, I have been to his club in Minneapolis several times to see local bands and he is always amazing and acts like a normal human most of the time

BB King-seen him several times always amazing
Stevie Ray Vaughn-I saw him several times and was always impressed
Robert Johnson-just listen
Duane Allman-again just listen
Clapton-he was bad at 16 in Cream and continues to rock

Joe Bonamossa-I have now seen a guitar get raped and pillaged for two hours
Kenny Wayne Shephard-up and coming youngster, well not so much anymore

Having seen hundreds of bands its hard to say as I have seen some good performances and some bad, two of the three times I saw GNR they were smashed and quite honestly sucked, slash screwed up Sweet Child of mine so bad the second time Axle just started singing and cut him off. Only the show they were late showing up for were they any good, I think they liked to party it up before the show not after which usually leads to a poor performance.

My favorite Guitarist of all time, he was also an amazing writer.

2 Eric Clapton, Need I say more? While I really don't like any of his songs, he is one of the greatest guitarists of all time.

3 Gary Rossington, there is NO one that can play slide guitar like him.

4 Rickey Medlocke, I love his sound, he in my humble opinion, sounds better the Allen Collins.

5 Jimi Hendrix, there is nothing to say.

6 Me!. LOL not. I love to play, but am not that great.....

Forgot to mention my dad,he is an awesome guitar player....he used be in a band one time in seventies and early eighties called........WAIT FOR IT..........."THE SNOWMEN"  hah

Alex Lifeson- he is the under-rated guitarist of the under-rated band of Rush. he is able to just strum along in the chorus then out of nowhere tear it up with perfect precision and bend and warp his music with bends, pedals and effects. his tremmlo is one of the best i have ever heard.

Kirk Hammet- the lead guitarist of Metallica, although dynamic sound isnt his thing, he is able to put out some amazing solos and awesome galloping.

i personally loved the way THE DOORS guitarist robby greagor used to use the neck of a bottle to swipe the strings on his guitar with in some of there songs...

man he is great too..

Lenny Breau was a great canadian guitarist, Had lots of drug problems and such but check out some of his work on you tube, he could make a guitar sound like a 5 person band.

Geddy Lee is my IDOL

i play bass and just love playing his stuff.

now dont say "urg this guy is bedduah" but in MY OPINION Geddy Lee is among the best bassists for his sound and style.
i got to play a Geddy lee bass, man i wish i had the $1200 to buy it

leo kottke - some of the best acoustic work i have ever heard.
Jimi - simply amazing.
Eric Clapton - great style.
Eric Johnson- cliffs of dover need i say more?
Jimmy Page - almost every riff you hear now came form him haha!
Dimebag Darrel - you want a good metal guitarist, he might be the best.
Steve Harris - again another great metal guitarist
David Gilmour - amazing.
Keith Richards - maybe not as much as the others but his riffs are damn good.
Kurt Cobain - i know maybe not as talented as the others but possibly more influential than most of them.

whilst i would admit his music sounds god that totally looks fake,man is this guy really even playing that guitar??

it sounds like a machine producing the sounds....

watch his hands in the vidseo,the guy isnt even near the strings at the bottom of the guitar.

i maybe wrong,but it looks fake!

and it doesnt really sound like great guitar playing,whilst a nice sound and style alright but i wouldnt think its anything special if he is actually playing!
