Default Ntc3?

Hey i just picked up a used NTC3 and I wanted to put a OS 18TZ in bumpstart, My question is what shaft do I buy the short shaft and use a pilot, or a long shaft, http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXHLV6&P=SM, http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=LXHLV9&P=SMi know the 2nd one is a rotery carb, i was just showing the difference in the shafts

Long. Why are you putting a .18 in it? .12 is more than enough for the NTC3.

You want the one with the pilot shaft and slide carb, if you go with the short shaft/rotary carb you will need the shaft extender.

O ok well I murdered HPI's with my tc3 and the .18 tz I had so long as you get the one with the pilot shaft and slide carb you should be good to go....gearing is where the fun is next.

honestly I dont remember what it was but I do remember I had to keep the gap (amount of teeth) equal between first and second, But I learned I was able to "cheat" a little and went with the largest pinion possible against the smallest spur but first gears pinion I went one tooth down and was still able to keep the Mesh and not strip out the gears.

Ate them up with my T.Z but my tc3 is pretty modded
