Someone asked a question about tools on a thread, but I can't finf it. Being new to this hobby I was thinking the same thing. What kind of tools, tool box, etc. I found this toolbox at Walmart( I know some people don't like Wally World)that I really like. It has storage in the bottom for nitro and spare parts. I don't know yet but I think it is ideal for offroading

depending on the repairs you want to do and need to be prepared for in the feild, any tool box thats comfortable for you to work out of and carry with you would be appropriate. im kinda new too, but this much ive found usefull.

Not only do I know little about rc trucks, I also know very little about computers!!!!  Can someone tell me how to get a picture in the post from my pictures?  The toolbox is really cool.  If nothing else you can go to Stanley's website, it has wheels.

thats a good toolbox. As far as tools go i would figure out all the sizes you need. usually you would need 2-3 different sizes of Hex wrenches. A philips screw driver as well as a slotted, and a wrench to take your tires off as well as glow plug out. If your going to use a socket wrench for glowplugs it is 8mm i believe. I would just invest in a glowplug wrench. Usually your truck would come with the proper tools to work on it. Other then that you should be fine. I get tired of using a hex wrench so i got the right attachments for a hand held electric screwdriver, so its really easy for me to tear my truck down.

That box was only $22.  I can get everything I have for my truck right now in that box, battery charges, etc.  I like the fact that it rolls.  Just had my first back operated on in Nov.  First 2 vertebre fused together.

I HAVE THAT EXACT  tool box for my r/c stuff plus some others from walmart
i have smaller tool boxes that have little removable boxes on the top

I purchased that same tool box at Wal-mart and I gotta say it holds more r/c stuff than any other box I've seen. It holds my r/c truck plus a gallon of fuel, including the many parts I carry. It can be wheeled anywhere.It is worth the money. Mine comes with two compartments, which come apart. It is a great deal.

yeah this site is great. It has a plethora of information. How is your ACME running? When you get it going good and are having fun i suggest in upgrading and letting the kids run the ACME and getting yourself a nice truck. Im not knocking ACME, its just they dont have the parts and accesory support that the other big name companies have.

After seeing the good reviews of that tool box and the low price im going to walmart and going to get myself one. This will be the first time i have ever stepped foot in a walmart but for the price and the product i think its worth it. I need a new toolbox.

Don't do like my wife and fall in love when you go. I think she has to go at least 3 times a week.

My Acme is going OK. The glow plug ignitor they sent me already broke. I emailed RCtoyhouse, thats where it came from. I hope they send me another one. It will still work, I just have to hold it together. I plan to finish the break in tomorrow, no kids tomorrow. We have a large yard next door that we can learn how to drive and how the truck reacts. The brakes are good. It will actually flip over if you go full brake.

i guess you set up the shocks up depending on what you are driving in/on? They are set up very soft now. Hlow do you like them?

you can buy a rechargeable glow ignitor for like $30. They work very well.

That is what I have now.  I like it.  It just fell apart.  I have to keep the spring in it.  It shoots out of it.  I hope they will send me another one.  It has a charger that looks like a glow plug on the end.
