RE: Custom Built R/C Trophy Truck - Project Mammuth
Today, we have only a little free time, so we checked out, how the springs are works. Awesome... Maybe they can be a little silky, but for testing they are good enough!
We have only a little shock-oil, so we filled one. We need to do little modifications onto the shocks, we must replace our O rings to simmerings.
I bring a little fuel with me, so we try to start the engine. It was the hardest part of the building The old fuel tank doesn't fitted to the tube, the carburetor has a leak, so the fuel started to drip
The spark plug is ok, so we put a little fuel into the cylinder through the spark plugs hole... BANG! Clashing, smoke, stink... The exhaust is not fitted finally, but it has a gorgeous sound!
In the pictures you will also find the final fuel tank and our custom servo-saver without spring.

Nice!
So you're running dual servos for the steering?
I like the servo saver too.
Been thinking of making my own as well.
How did you cut it?

SWEET!
I love the front bumper. Compliments the chassis. I've been thinking about doing a servo saver that same exact way. Gonna watch how yours turns out and maybe steal the whole idea....
How wide is it?
In a way... don't you secretly wish you made it like 20% bigger so you could ride around in it!!!
Love the build.

Hi! No, it will be only a single servo steering. It's cutted with a milling machine.

"Gonna watch how yours turns out and maybe steal the whole idea..."
Okay, no problem, next time I will make a video about it. I ordered the spring for the servo-saver (it will shrink 3mm under 20kg)
"How wide is it?"
The car's dimensions: 1200mm x 730mm x 500mm
"In a way... don't you secretly wish you made it like 20% bigger so you could ride around in it!!!"
No, I don't want to ride on it... It's more complicated than this R/C solution

Yes, we finished the main parts of the car, we have put it together and I bring it to home. Naturally, many parts needs little modifications, but it's completed, the suspension works, steering also okay, the motor running and the brakes works too... I will put some detailed pictures about the car soon, till then here is a video about the final assembly:

if you can find a jetpro pipe for that motor that would be perfect. The pipe that is on there looks like an IP2 version pipe and has a weird powerband. The jet pro pipe gives some great low end and smooth power band on those motors. This is a great build BTW, something I have wanted to do as well. keep up the great work

Man I can't wait to see that beast running... Almost there!!And please do a lot of videos once you run it !With some suspension action, speed runs, donutsetc. hahaha
What is the total weight of the truck now that it is mostly completed ? Did you fill the shocks with oil yet ?
I can't get enough of home builds !!! Congrats that is an awesome build.
