Another reason why there should be a moderator amongst us. Anyone willing to step up?

I don't see why alot of the forum members here that do some degree of scratch building don't join forces to work on one particular tank and make multiples for the group in 1/16 scale (like one guy draws up the precision plans, the other guy takes on the hull, the detailer, the roadwheels guy, accessories guy,the final builder, the resin/metal caster, etc....). That would be a sweet deal to see. If more manufactures start seeing people/groups turn to scratch building by the masses.....if that won't put fire under their tails, I don't know what will.
Hi dedmonwakin

I am in the process of creating complex 3D CAD models of WWII tanks. I start by taking 1/35 scale tanks and scaleing them up to 1/16 scale
this is the scale I picked because I plan on makeing them available for Radio Control. I can, because these are cad models, make accurate
build drawings in any popular scale 1/15,1/16,1/18/1/6,1/8, etc. If there is a particulare tank you or any member of the forum would like done.
Her is what Iwould need.

1) I would need a accurate 1/35 scale model of the tank (one that has not been put together)
this will be returned with the drawings when completed.
2) Any information, drawings, specs, pictures that you have of the tank, these will also be returned.

3) There will be a cost involved for the drawings (still figuring this out) and mailing costs.

Here are a few of the tanks I am in the process of creating.

A Centurion with a Thorneycroft Mighty Antar transporter?I can dream, I guess! British armour is woefully lacking generally; How about tha A34 Comet; the only British tank developed in WW2 capable of taking on the Panther on equal terms? The Mk III Valentine would also be on my list, and we absolutely need an RTR T34/85.

Hay guys I agree too much as in German armor, we need more allied stuff. HL Sherman would be nice, M-10 or how about a M-24 Chaffee but the one I would like to see is a M-18 Hellcat TD. We need some British tanks Crusader, Comet and a Ceturion Mkl. Keep sending letters to all the companies with suggestions on the tanks we want. I have sent some letters to HL suggesting new tanks. I haven't got a reply but the effort is there. The more lettters these companies it just mite work. I will keep sending

Cheers
John

We all know what the market needs, it's just that the manufacturers don't care. They make what ever they think we want. It's been mentioned a hundred times over what models we would like to see but nobody's listening. I can see HL making another KV-2 ofcourse. Tamiya already did. That seems to be the trend. Same with the King Tiger but I believe that is a mistake on the sellers part. I dont think he knows what he's selling. Painting the tracks?????????? Why would we want that as a custom feature? Just some guy that bought a bunch of tanks and is going to slap some paint on things and call them custom. Seen this movie before.
