With the 6EX as the student, set it to PPM modulation per the chart:

Here's the cord you need, since the 6X has the round connector and the 12FG uses the micro:

FUTM4420 MDTC TRNR CORD MICRO/ROUND PLG US$14.99

These parts can be ordered through any hobby retailer who sells Futaba systems and accessories.

Thanks for the reply Bax, but it's a 6XA, not a 6EX. In the manual, it refers to this Tx as "not applicable" - not sure what that means...

Sorry for the mixup. I somehow had the 6EX on the brain.

Because the 12FG uses the smaller battery pack, you need a different trainer cord, but it won't connect to the 6X. With your two transmitters, there's no way to get them to work in a trainer situation.

It's not a super... what a bummer. I specifically bought this Tx to use as a buddy box.
