Thanks!
I've finally wore down my Hitec 645MG servo. I was using the rig Rock Island this afternoon and it now make a clicking sound at full lock if I'm making a left turn. I could dial back the steering on the controller so it stops just before the clicking. That should help for a while.

i posted this over on [link]http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=144[/link], but thought it might be of interest.
not too sure how this happened, perhaps faulty part, but the bevel gear and shaft actually separated, it is splined so i just JB weld'd it and hammered it back together, let it dry over night. managed to break down the diffs with as few steps as possible, time consuming, but not as bad as i had anticipated. i also noticed the bevel gear is falling apart a bit, poor metal? heavy usage? not too sure, either way, figured i'd order another bevel gear set. hope the fix job holds up as i am planning on a mountain climb trail run tomoro and the there is a rainfall warning here. here's some pics of the fixit job for peoples reference.

Interesting that the gear fails before your plastic shaft... hopefully just some manufacturing problem..
Good luck! Keep us posted!!

Took the CR01 to the newly opened "Park and Play" Drifting and Crawling track
The drifting track. Brought along my TT01 to try it out
When I got home I made some adjustments on the CR01. I noticed that the front wheels would leave the ground when climbing, so I switched the springs around. Now running medium barrel springs in the back, and soft up front.
I also moved the ESC, it's now forward and under the battery tray
Will test the new setup sometime this week

Playing with fire! You don't encounter many water crossings do you? My ESC would be fried under there!
That RC park is awesome! I love to have something like that around here.

A few pics my friend Curt's wife took at his Rock Island on Sunday
Curt running the TLT axled, leaf sprung AMC Pacer, not sure where I am in this shot, maybe somewhere over to the right. The Cabrio makes a guest appearance too
Wire bridge!!

Great pics as usual, Nick! The wire bridge is SIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK! And I can't get enough of that Pacer. Is that running 1.9's? I got to get my Bronco back in the woods again soon and get some pics to post. I don'tknow ofany actual courses around here, but I found this park about a half hour from here with excellent natural terrain and beautiful scenery to boot (including a couple waterfalls). Also I forgot, are you running softer springs/stabilizers? And if so, does that tend to cause the axles to twist up under power?

The pacer is TLT axle, leaf springs and 1.9 tires
My set up is hard short barrel springs in front, medium short barrel springs in rear. Soft stabilizer in front and medium stabilizer in rear. This set up has pretty minimal torque twist.

Yeah I don't encounter too many water crossings. The ESC is waterproof though, but the servos, receiver and battery are not

very clever placement of the ESC bok, i think i might try that, my ESC is waterproof aswell.... i like water!
also i noticed you use a motor heatsink, i just popped one on and it has really made a difference, i always found that the motor on the crawler didn't heat up too much, but i have been giving it a good workout lately. i use one on my TT-01 rally car, with the EZrun brushless 5.5t system as well.

You should definitely try relocating the ESC since yours is also waterproof, the only downside is that the setup button may be difficult to access, but how many times do we actually use that? Yep I use heatsinks on my runners, it really helps in keeping the temps down

My new plates came in from Krawler Konceptz on RCC.
I did not get one for the Bronco since I have a paper Connecticut one. I should get one made though. These new plate are styrene I think.
My little collection. Almost as big as LB's collection... Not really.

Those are for 1:1 cars not RC! There's a few more that are trophy type that are not on the wall.

Well I finally got out to the park today and took some pictures to share with everyone. I also got some new RC4WD Mud Slingers to try out which I mounted up to a set of J-Concepts Tense Wheels. The offset is a little much for a scale look, but til I get new wheels, which won't be all that soon, these'll do. I wish I knew people around here to crawl with. Still had a great time though. The pictures were taken at South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, NJ (amazing mountainousterrain just 15 minutes from Newark, who knew?). There's some great crawling spots (alot tend to be somewhat dangerous if the truck starts to roll over), some water crossings, and even a couple of waterfalls to add to the scenery. That said, heres the pics.
