Need new tires again[] they add up when you need them two times a season.

Have you guys tried brushless? Brushed motors run hot and only get 70% run time versus brushless. Plus with brushed you have a lot a maintance and stuff. I got a brushless set up from towerhobbies, Castle Mamba Max 5700kv, equal to a 9 turn brushed, and it make my stampede fly. Also get 35-40 minutes run time on 5000 mah nickle metal stick pack

Brushless has timing too, And 15 minutes on a 8.5 going full out is not bad for 4000mah.

I wonder how long it is gonna last on the track. My 8.4v seems too last almost 30 mins. Obviously not full throttle, I am trying to navigate the course. haha a friend of mine running a 2 cell in his 4x4 slash and it lasts an hour! I am hoping for at least 30 mins of track driving.

Slower charge for more run time, faster charge for more power is a good rule of thumb.

Ive been running the 21 tooth pinion with no troubles, Ive got a fan on the motor and esc, also the new battery mount is made of the heat sink material so that draws alot of heat away. Ill post some of my new vids with the new setup. PS weighing the front end down with a old tire weight on your bumper makes everything alot easier on speed run's.

I am about to acquire an e-firestorm. I am looking to purchase some turnigy lipos but was wondering if the following battery dimensions will fit the battery tray. I tried searching for it but couldn't find any information. I found out that the Height (B) length is about 51mm according to a post on rctech. What about the width (C), is 26mm within the size of the battery compartment?

thanks.

Lipo Battery dimensions:
Length-A(mm) 139
Height-B(mm) 46
Width-C(mm) 26

I really like that HPI motor mount heat sink too but, it is spendy. Hot racing makes one for the blitz that might work. It is much cheaper Heat sink battery mount? Pics please

So after having a thermal shut down yesterday I decided just to dail down all the settings and try that before dropping any teeth, Set the drive from 5 to 1 and the curve to expo and no drag brake. will the temps stayed around 135f after 15 minutes, A little high but workable. The strange part is the car seems to wheelie better with the mild settings? Maybe it puts the power to the ground better.

same here....we run a 21 tooth with a seven cell nihm and have had no problems, and that's with a sidewinder no fan with my kids driving the hell out of the thing like they didn't have to pay for it. Cause they didn't.
