Last September I tore up the Bucker Jungmeister in Austin but have since rebuilt it. I'll bring it down also. Here is a photo after the rebuild. It flies as good as ever.

I look forward to bringing a few big jets. Should be an awesome event. BB has repaired the minor bump in the new runway. Should be great for whatever shows up.

Ok I have a question...

Does my wife have to be an AMA/IMAA member at the Rally of the Giants if she will be my spotter?She won't be flying at all, but I want her on the flight line.

I'm sure she doesn't have to be a member of AMA/IMAA. After all she is your official crew member. I always have at least one crew member.

Bomber Field is a real high point for IMAA.

When we stopped by the IMAA booth at the Toledo show,
a few weeks ago, the folks at the booth told us how the
IMAA membership is less than half of what it was a few
years ago and continues to drop.

If more events were like Bomber Field, they might
be able to attract some new members .....

thats the intention , many things are changing and improving at IMAA
just check the new web site , i plan to attend bomber also
the economy is a bump in the road and will improve over the next year i,m sure
i have talked to a number of members who have been impacted by it

Hey there, is anyone in Florida driving to Rally of the GIants???? if so would you like a partner in crime, im in Miami and i been wanting to go film this event, if anyone is driving there we can split the fuel cost, if anyone is so call me 305.300.1800 im Marvin and im a R/C Pilot as wellbut not able to take anything for now, just want to film the show well let me know !!!!!!!! :-)

...........and Bomber Field might draw a bigger crowd if it were not an IMAA event. Several of us down here will be there in Sept. but not this event, because IMAA is required.

Hey guys you know what, i went to Joe Nall last year and i needed IMAA, i felt the same way as you Terry, but you know what, if its for flying why not, im there to have fun and meet new people and their awesome aircraft, but then i thought, why not have another association, we are becoming so big and our aircraft are most sophisticated and we need all the help we can to keep our fields, events, and places where one can fly, talk about only $35 why not, im even joinin the Jet asociation which is $15, we need to keep our hobby strong and by joining this associations they will help us, just my peeny though :-D i hope i can go see your awesome place!!!!!

And the IMAA is the AMA,s largest special interest group
The IMAA is there to work with the AMA and to help protect our ability to fly large models

The B-17 event is not an IMAA event, unless a unilateral decision was made this weekend without our club members talking about it and I don't think that happened.

Hello, just to update you, I talk to BB 10 minutes ago to inform him about the website for the b17 event. The B17 in Sept will require only AMA membership and the website will be changed to support that. The IMAA members are always welcome but the event will not require Imaa membership. See you at Bomber.

BB is correct………………………………. It will be like it has been for the last 21 years. AMA only. Pass the word to your buddies. We just had the IMAA Rally of the Giants as a onetime event. The first weekend in June will be our War bird and the 3rd. weekend in Sept. will be the B-17 Gathering AMA only.. Can you put the right stuff on their for us…………………. Bee looking for you.
