I just got a run on my boat with the turn fins now.

Man... This thing is on rails. I can full speed turn it 180 degrees in a 6 foot radius or less I bet. Insane.

as you've seen on my videos al, i have only one on the right side mounted on hull side and not the transom, i also have the rudder travel set at about 70% which means i can swing out high and turn in low, if they work for you as they are then thats cool, my way works for me, i apologise if you felt like i was ''teaching nan how to suck eggs''

I raced with the turn fins at 90 and one on each side very little drag if any , the trim tabs are wound up out of the way and a 45 carbon prop , ( sorry just had to post the 95 GTR LM pic )

Hi Nick i have taken the screws out for ajustment and bent the tabs up so they are out of the water (i should have taken them off before painting ) the boat came with that setup , a well set up FE race boat should'nt need t/tabs .

hi phil

i was thinking of taking the brake pads (trim tabs) of aswell, just adds drag, have you run your boat with the fins in there new position ?? how is it now ?? hope you dont feel like i was being insulting as this was not my intention

HI BROD YES THE CAT RUNS FINE COULD DO WITH XL MOTORS IN IT TO GIVE IT A BIT MORE GRUNT,AND I HAVE CHANGED THE STINGERS FOR ONES WITH LEAD TEFLON BUSHESINSTEAD OFTHE ONES SUPPLIED WITH NEEDLE ROLLERS,AND PUT UGRADED FLEXI DRIVES IN, I PURCHASED IT WITH NO MOTORS OR SPEED CONTROLLERS IN IT AND FIT IT OUT MY SELF, I DO THINK ITS DIFFERENT TO THE HOR CAT, BUT I HAVE NOT HAD THEM SIDE BY SIDE, SO I CANT BE 100%.........
