I Am really getting the itch for a small 3d backyard flyer. I dont know if i should go with the Ultra micro 4 site or the wait for the New parkzone SU 26xp

How big is your yard?
The 4-site, will fly in a smaller area.

If you want full 3D, then you have to go for the 4-Site, though to truly enjoy full 3D you need almost no wind... But if you want to fly more often, then the Sukhoi will fly better in the wind while still being fun.

C'mon, they are cheap, there's only one solution: BUYBOTH!

I bought a 4-Site a few months ago when they first came out. Though it's a nice bird, I prefer the Su-26XP! Granted I have a pretty big back yard, so the speed of the Suhkoi isn't a factor for me. I guess I am into more of the IMAC style of flying and not hardcore 3D action. Like was suggested, buy both! one for indoor action and the SU-26 for some outdoor fun.

I fly my SU in large spaces, of those 2 I would say $-site, and a couple of the Hyperion 160 batteries.

IT WAS FUTILE.... LOL
I couldn't resist, I had to get the little XP....... I haven't gotten any extra batt's yet, but mine didn't come with extra velcro...... most of the people I know said their micros did...... just curious ........ Seems to be a nice little plane, and it's pretty..... flies alright, but I haven't had any calm winds to try it out in and really ring it's neck...... hope this will let me get in more IMAC freestyle practice............

Any suggestions on batts, I kinda wanna wait for the new TP's.......
and I think I wand the 4-site now too .... LOL or at least the charger............ does it use the same batteries?
I like bipes, and have heard that the 4-site won't turn without rudder, any input here???????????

Happy Landings

+1 on the GET BOTH idea LOL

i got the su 26xp and havent stopped flying it since. This plane is great for practicing... Ive crashed this thing a billion time and haven't broken a thing.
Its really hard to break. the elevator and rudder sometimes crease but some scotch tape fixes it quite fast

http://www.allerc.com/product_info.p...oducts_id=5416 These are the batteries you want. The C rate will keep you going. I just relaunched my UM 4-Site with these and it had plenty of throttle authority. I have a rebuilt SU-26 that I hope to fly in the next couple of days. Similar upgrades, custom paint.

Those look alright, I've been looking at getting some of these....

http://hobbycity.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=11893&Product_Name=Turnigy_nano-tech_160mah_1S_25~40C_Lipo_Pack_(Kyosho,_E-flite,_Parkzone_Etc)

A few flying buddys order from that site and we have liked the Zippy batteries, I am planning to try the nano-tech line soon.... And the KDA 22-20L motors I get from DonsRC.com can be found here.... They are 28mm like a park 450 and closer to a 480 in power, they like 10x6-10x8 APC and also 11x5.5 APC and fly well in planes such as the Multiplex Gemini, E-Flite Taylorcraft, Super Cub, GWS T-6 Texan,......
I plan on replacing the ones I've traded off and burned up (my fault/crash damage)....

Right now I'm waiting for this to come in, shipped today, I think from California.....

http://www.hobbypartz.com/alpha-4801...ess-motor.html

just got one to try out the site/service, hope to catch the 2200 high C-rating batteries in stock, a buddy has gotten a couple blue lipos from here and they seem to be OK, just don't stay in stock long......

the motor was 21.65 shipped, $5 flat rate shipping, and good prices... Hope the motor turns out to be good, I have a lineup of 480-25e sized planes in mind, and a couple that need a transplant....

I am still contemplating the UM 4-Site, I really want the charger and if the plane flies well I want one, or I could gut it and build a Guillows kit to convert to RC this winter.....LOL UM P-40 LOL Any input on the 4-Site>>>>>>>>>>>>Happy Landings, my XP needs a little tape on the rudder, too little for windy conditions.......to fast for in the shop........

And I shall be taking a knife to it. There is something inherently off. I will be considering a new aftermarket airframe as well as a homemade profile design. At the moment, I think I will order the $20 plane. I am going to see is I can save my in between SU, but it will not get nearly as many tries. Like one try if that is as completely off then I will move to other plans.

I wanna solve the wing rocking problem... when you try to do high alfa maneuvers the plane leafs/rocks through the air and i was hoping that the SU26xp wouldn't do that like the old one did. Unfortunatly it still does. The wings design makes the edge of the wing stall first (causing wing rocking) I want to figure out a way so that the planes wing stalls from the center out producing much better control a slow speeds. I don't really know how im going to go about doing it. change the shape of the wing? add area to the wing tips?
any suggestions?

I remember seeing something in an RC mag years ago about preventing stall at the wing root.  There were these little wing-lets only a 2-3" long and 3/4" long (from fuse to tip) and about 1" above and partially in front of the wing.  That was on a .40 size plane so you'd have to scale it down.

Sideview

If above the < is the nose of the plane, the long line is the wing and the short line is the wing-let.  For flying inverted, maybe you'd want one on top and bottom as shown below  Maybe only 1/2" wide outside the fuse.

Go look at the redbull air race planes, they have little winglets.
