You can get a new traxxas trx 3.3 for that price.

i prefer to keep my t-maxx to the shorter version. i was told to get the beefed up 3.3 driveshafts i have to dremel my chassis. i dont know if i want to do this. Can i use the stock .15 pro t-maxx centershafts and have them hold up to that power?

also i only have the stock traxxas t-maxx plastic tuned pipe. will this pipe restrict the power for the engine?

I have a revo so I can't tell you from experience. I just looked at the t-maxx 2.5 pictures at traxxas.com and it looks like it can handle the trx 3.3

So you have a original t-maxx .15 pro and you switched the engine out for a 2.5?

okay thank you. i do have the 3.3 spec tranny so the only thing that is going to be hurt would be the center shafts.

but will the platic trx pipe restrict power to the trx 3.3?

If you have the 3.3 driveshafts and trans then go ahead with the 3.3. I have an original revo and I was planning on going with the picco max .26 and after looking into it I found that it would fit nicely although I drive a bit hard so I know I'd have to spend more on supporting mods so now I have switched my mind to giving the trx 3.3 a shot when my 2.5R gives out. Good luck.

will the stock traxxas plastic tuned pipe restrict flow and effect performance?

You could use it but if you can get a better pipe, maybe the traxxas R pipe?

i can try. at the moment i think i could only afford the 3.3 engine and some other things that i need for my truck. but eventually im sure i will get a better pipe and retune it for performance.

i was reading some reviews and they said the trx 3.3 only lasted about 2 gallons. and another one saying its not good if you drive everyday because they wear out fast?

Haven't owned one so I can't speak from experience. I popped my original 2.5R but I was new to nitro. The rod let go and went through the block. I exchanged it using the traxxas exchange program and I've been running that motor ever since. My suggestion would be to do some extensive reading before spending your money so that you're satisfied with your decision.
