Nice Job with the Video Rich!!
Thanks for posting it Ron!
I especially like the Knife edge pass at 4:55 into the video.
This jet is great. I put a GPS inside and it read 189 MPH during straight and level passes. No dives for the speed run. This is just one AWESOME Jet. I am SOOOOOOOOO glad I did not sell it!!!!! The new paint looks incredible in person....looks a bit off in the pictures and video.
See ya at KY Baby!!!!!

Looks great Dom. I was seriously considering it when you dropped the price to 4K. I regret not buying it. Mine should be on the way from China in about a week. Toolate to have ready for Kentucky. Will you be bringing yours to Kentucky?

Three it is Jerry!!
My friend has a small (about the size of a cigarette lighter) gps that he bought very cheap...about $40. It is real neat and provides many statistics. I am sorry that I can't give you more details than that. Paul if you are reading this then can you answer the question?
Thanks!

I found it. The correct C.G. for the L-39 is 4 5/16†from the leading edge of the wing at the fuse.
My installation has all my batteries and equipment in the nose and far forward in the fuse. I was able to easily get the desired C.G. with just a small amount of "lead" in the nose to compliment the equipment already there.

I've searched this thread and haven't found anything on this topic -
Looks like I will need to take off a bit from the leading edge of the flap in order to get them to a full up position and even with the wing root at the fuselage. It will do it but the servo is binding.
Anyone else run into this?

Yea, its with the live hinging. The flaps are hinged at the bottom and they do butt up against the wing - but when you compare it with the root of the wing a the fuselage it's not even unless I really push the servos.
I'll try to get a picture soon and post it.

Hello Guy's,
I Know This Is A Turbine Fei Bao L-39 Thread But I've Succussfully Converted Mine's To Electric And It Fly's Great One Of The Easies Jets I've Flown.
The Fei Bao 1/6.5 Scale L-39 On 11's II Flight On Hyperion 45C Packs With A TJ100HP EDF Unit With Castle Creation 110 Esc & Nue Motor 1515 3/D, With TamJets Struts, Wheels & Brakes At 4300 Watts Pushing It. Fly's Great.

Fellas,
I recently got one of these and am working on getting it together. The jet did not come with a wing tube spar...can someone tell me what the sidewall thickness is as well as specs on the aluminum (i.e. number associated with the type aluminum)? Sorry, I didn't get into aluminum airplanes, so I know the number comment sounds ignorant (and it is!), I just don't want to put too 'soft' an aluminum tube in there.
Thanks in advance
Dave
