Your boat should do pretty well.

It might do mid 60's if it had room to stretch. I'm guessing mid to high 50's in the vid.

Very nice workmanship. How did you go about making your templates and bulkheads etc? What equipment did you use?

All I can say is wow. The way you set the pipes up is great. That is a very complicated build and you are already finished almost. Very nice work.

Unfortunately, I think using the prop blast pick ups with the 4 servings of blue spagetti sticking out of the hull ruins the appearance. I would have gone with the flush mount pick ups and bingo no water lines hanging out the back

Sorry dude, JMO. Everything else is cherry though

I agree... beautiful build but the flush pick-ups coming in from the bottom would have been a great idea.

Can't wait to see a vid of it running! Nice work

Well Well Well!
Not to be rude, but it is not very nice to take credit for someones elses work.
Not even a mention of me or Plum Krazy RC Boats
www.plumkrazyrcboats.com
See for yourself click on the word facebook on my home page.
I am the one building this Gorgess Twin Cat.
It sits on my bench as I write this.
FYI: I reworked the water line issue.
The boat is almost done, maybe another week or so.
You know I think it is great the build got posted, but a mention of the correct builder would have been nice.
With this build there was no room for a center rail.
Believe me everything is a very tight fit.
I had to think 10 steps ahead of what I was working on to insure everything fit just perfect.
Anyways enjoy the pictures, I will be updating our facebook page with more pictures of it next week.

Cheers
Carl

Coundn't agree more Carl.....was wondering how this guy, who I never heard of, was doing this out of the blue....NOW its more clear on whats going on. Looking good, can't believe your were able to fit them in but was wondering, as I asked the other builder , how are you able to put the hatch on without hacking it up?

Wow. That's pretty childish to post this stuff and let everyone else think you were doing it Gone's been working real hard on this and here you go Carl taking credit for his skill and workmanship. LMAO Everyone knows you cut and pasted those pics off here and posted them to face book. LMAO.

Seriously, Hope he's paid you for the boat[:-]

Hi Paul,
LOL! Oh that was a funny one. (-:
No, he still owes $1400.00 plus the shipping.
He'll finish paying for it I am sure.
The whole thing just pissed me off,
I did not mean to come down on the guy so hard,
But if you are having a boat built,
at least inform the readers who is doing the work.
I busted my donky on this thing everyday for 6 weeks now.
Anyways I'll post pictures of it here as well as our Facebook page.
This way the story will have a happy ending. (-:

Take care
Cheers
Carl

Hi,
How have you been?
The plug wires only stuck though the lid by about 3/4"
But we wanted the looks to be as clean as possible.
I did have to cut off most of the original scoop.
I then took a #9 scoop from MHZ and glassed it in its place underneath.
Then I took anouther type of scoop and cut it into 2 pieces and glassed it underneath to the sides of
the #9 scoop to cover the plugs.
Then I went to the underside and used a dremel to clean everything up.
I am using white gelcoat to fill all of the seams and then I will sand and shape it.
It fits nice, I have to trim down the 2 carb needls on the port engine as they just hit the hatch lid.
Also the port engine as to have the pull start cord tied off like on a hydro, as it
just hits the lid as well.
I am about 10 days out from having it all done and ready to test run.
I'll video it as weel and post.
I am going to have Chris Hoffman do up a couple 6717/3 props for it.
Just to let everyone know I will be making kits up for the bulkhead and side bracing
if anyone is interested. I'll let you know what the cost will be later.
Once these are installed it really beefs up the hull nicely.
Nice hearing from you.
Cheers
Carl

Good day everyone, the lesson for today is Never make assumptions or you will be an "ASS" I think that's how the saying goes. For all those who assumed I was building this boat. I never claimed to be doing the work on this boat in "ANY" of my posts nor did I take credit for it. I'm just posting pictures of the boat build. I don't recall signing any contract that states I have to mention the builder of my boat either I guess that was in the fine print.

Posting this thread the way you did has deception written all over it ... assuming what we all did which is typical of those sharing what they are working on your not being forthcoming on what you post as the work of another , the asshat may be on your head ?

Nice build Carl

Oh Puleeese. Cut the holier than thou stuff. If you didn't want to deceive, than why when I asked how you did the bulkheads etc you answered "The templates were made out of cardboard first to test fit then transfered to 1/4" birch 5 ply plywood. They were then cut out with a band saw an a skrol saw then sanded to fit in place"

After doing that you actually expect us to believe that you didn;t want us to think that you did the work??

There is no shame in getting someone to build a boat for you. There is shame in making others think you built it when someone else did

If posting a boat build without stating the builder has deception written all over it then there's a lot of deceptive threads on this *****. If you assume then like I said before you are an ASS. No matter how something looks you never assume until you know the facts and you will only know the facts by asking questions like are you doing the build yourself or who's doing the build. It's like assuming you can kick someones ass because your bigger than them, or assuming I give 2 ****s about what people say on this website.

Attaboy ... Fight back and take the stand we are the ones wrong here ... Please !!
The MAN thing to do would be a simple acknowledgment you were in error about how you presented this build your proud too one day own built by someone else of which you were thrilled to share with the on line community.

** Those would be my words, You can either further continue to be in denial or man up ... that choice remains yours to make
