I have one on the way also in desert camo, hope to have her well and truly ready before Temora Jets for any Aussie flyers keen for a closer look and maybe even a fiddle on the sticks. 2 x K80's for my display hog.... 2 x 18 lb thrust turbines will be more than enough I reckon. Might seriously consider a second A-10 for EDF power if the first looks to be light enough to give that a try.

Bart, I haven't been home but 3 days in the last 2 weeks. Now I'm going to be gone for another 2 weeks! This is crazy. Jon said he was going to work on it some while I was gone. Hopefully when I get back. James is going to fly his at Kentucky jets so at least you'll see some footage of that one go. I will get some pictures and video as soon as I get back.
Cheers!

Sorry I haven't put anything up here. I was in Alaska for the last 2 weeks and when we got home my wife was in a car accident. Tending to her right now. I know James put a few pictures up on the FEJ web site and they are at KJ flying it this week. LA jets is in 2 weeks so I need to get mine done in time for that. It really is a beautiful plane and great quality.

Hi guys,

I've been looking at this thread with some interest. I haven't really considered Fly Eagle jets before as in my opinion (and a lot of others) there have been some major major issues with their aircraft. They always seem to have a nice painted finish but have seen some serious structural defects and or very bad flying qualities. Im sure weve all seen the threads on collapsed tail pipes an the inside structure of wings leaving a lot to be desired.

However.... I must admit I am quite enticed by the look of the A10. As this is a "latest generation" product from them, is it any better or is it still a work in progress? The question is - is it made as good as it looks?, has anyone flown one yet ? What does it cost? Also would I be right in thinking they have reduced the size of the engine pods as they looked ridiculously large to start with?

I would love to see any comment good or bad on this thing and if anyone can let me know the cost I would be very grateful. I live in the UK but havent heard any talk of this A10 over here yet.

Hi guys

Can someone PM me the price please? I've built a few fej models in the past and they have taken loads more time to make into reliable flying models but I here things are much better these days which is great. My only concerrn is the dry wieght of this model as there's no information published yet. Anyone hazard guess? It must be under 44lbs or my customer will not be able to fly it at his particular flying site.

Many thanks

Alex

Any updates on this? Dry weight is a very important issue as well as turbine size. Don't want to be buying 2 of the wrong turbines do we!

If anybody has any info beyond the static shots there are a few of us eager to see it

i have a pair of AMT-Mercurys. they are more heavy than other 8-10kilo thrust turbines.
so what i like to know how it works out with your turbines and the CG of the A10.
did you need a lot of wheight in the nose or even noseheavy......................................... .............................

Fasteddi, FEJ test flew the model with two Jetcat 120's and 5lbs of lead in the nose. Mine is still in bubble wrap.

I received the scale cockpit recently. Hmm US$150, this is straight out of the box.

If anyone is interested in one, you might be better off backing over a doll house.
