I knew Charlie Melancon, he never flew Stunt, but he did pit my rat racers and combat planes all across the south and southwest including several Nats. He would probably be embarassed but pleased about the name of the contest.

CajunAce
Hope you can make it.
Are you ready for a stunt engine or looking for sport engine?
Let me know I can bring something for you to look at and/or go home with you.

Look for the OLD Motor home with Aluminum skin trailer.

Isurely hope they give me off work. ITs a Casino so there is no telling lol.

Im not looking for a monster of a engine. But a good old Fox .35 or something like that. All Ifly is 1/2a right now as thats all my budget allows at the moment. My dad has a OLD guillows trainer that he claims is great for starting out stunt. SO im jsut looking for a decent engine to start out on. So Ishall see what ya got

If it is a Guillows trainer 3 then a loop is about all you will get.

I have some new Fox .36 bushing engines and will hand pick one for you.
If the best one is not good on fit I will hand fit it.

This will be a good engine to learn with on bigger airplane.
Run 25% castor and it will last long time.
Break in on 29% castor if possible.
Stay away from synthetic oils in foxes and cox. or any of the old engines.
After good long break in 50/50 syn/castor at least 25% total oil is ok

synthetic oil is only good in ABC and other such modern engines.

All my engines get all castor except for the ABC Rat engines.

hehe I may have exagerated the perfect stunt trainer lol but he did say for a big engine plane none other would be better for a first time fler of the big plane.

Now like Isaid Idont have a huge budget and hell an old beater engine that still runs would be sufficient!!

Mornin Ace

I believe they have good turnout for both days.

Other than one contest in 1979 I haven't competed in C/L since 1975 NATs.

I posted the event for the CD as his computer was acting up.

Bunch of good guys over there. Well heck your from the South so you know that!

See Ya There!

David
