Default Elmers Foam Board question

Elmers Foam Board is on sale 2 for $3, so I bought 4 sheets to give a foam fighter a try. I cut out the FF-21 and then I soaked the board andtook off the paper. This is way to flimsy to do anything with? Am I missing something here. Everywhere I read says that the Elmers is good and remove the paper. Any suggestions? Maybe leaving the paper on is better? Or are you reinforcing or stiffening this with something?

Thanks, banjomaniac

Default RE: Elmers Foam Board question

I have tried this, but it is much too soft, as a matter of fact I rather use it as a fuselage cover since it takes the curves perfect.

If there is no other material on hand go on, but you will have to reinforce it a lot.

Leaving the paper is strong but too heavy.

Better get depron if you can.
