I am building a knock-off Newport Biplane that will have styro-foam wings with 8.5mm carbon fiber tube for the leading edge and carbon fiber strip spars, top and bottom. My plan is to sheet this with 1/32” Balsa and I hope to cover it with Mono Coat. My question is, “Will the styro-foam stand the heat of the iron under the balsa skin?” All thoughts appreaciated.

I believe they offer it in a low temp version that works well on low heat.
