Getting a new FMS 1400mm Trojan
Hey guys,
Tomorrow Im going to Motion RC to pick up a new FMS 1400mm Trojan, I've been flying on my own for a little over six months, I currently fly a Sig Kadet, Hobbyzone Super Cub, and a Parkzone T-28 Trojan (big one). So my question to those who have flown the FMS Trojan, and possibly the PKZ Trojan is are the planes remotely similar? I would appreciate any tips, or advise as to the transition to a plane like this.

The plane is set up to fly on 4s but many including myself fly on 5s for the added power and flyability, although the plane will fly fine on 4s. The FMS will not float and glide like your PZ, but the FMS is still a nice flyer and you just need to remember to keep up a little more speed than your PZ. With the retracts and all the extra servos on the FMS just make sure to check over everything to see it is all in working order. I see no problem with you being able to fly the FMS with your current experience just take care to check CG, look over electronics, and watch landing speed to keep from stalling. You will enjoy the plane its a nice flying bird let us know how it goes.

Watts, I noticed you said you fly with a 5S for added power. I've been flying nitro for over 25 years and am just learning about electrics. I just picked up an FMS 1400mm P-51 and a Corsair and there was an insert that specifically said not to use a 5S. How do you know what you can get away with in going to a larger battery without damaging the ESC or motor ?
