Hi guys,
This morning I was going to put my new Flyzone select scale Corsair together, but I noticed that the rudder hinge, while not broken, was torn in a few places, they say thats fairly common on foamies. I watched a video by RC Informer on foam hinge repair, and he used a paint brush, and just brushed on some Welder's glue to the hinge. I can't find Welders glue around here, but I do have some E-FLITE CA foam compatable, thick, slow cure glue on hand, Im just wundering if I can use that in place of the Welder's glue, or would I be better off just to use some hinge tape? Any advise on this will be greatly appriciated.
Thanks, Paul

The CA glue will be to brittle for the hinge and won't work very well. I would do one of three options, cut the rudder off and install your choice of hinge (fiber CA hinge, plastic hinge), second use hot glue and spread a thin layer down the length of the hinge making a nice flexible hinge that will be strong, last you can just use hinge tape and that would work well too. Hope this helps and good luck.
