I am building an ******** prop jet and don't know if I should take the paper liner off or not. Without the paper the foam is very delicate and easily broken. Will the jet be too heavy with the paper??

The paper add both strength and weight, The problem some people have is once built the paper starts coming off anyway. In Florida the humidity would probably make it happen fast
(I would think).
It sounds like the general rule for getting the foam so much cheaper than depron is pulling the paper, and reinforcing with wood or carbon spars...

Leave the paper on. After you build the plane. Brush on Midwax to seal the paper to the foam. Then you can paint it.

I build by leaving the paper on. The strength you gain is the real advantage here. A good quality foam board will help with the paper peeling off quickly.
