I can second that. If GPW designed it you can believe that it flys well.

I've got the Albatross VTOL plans printed out and sitting right in front of me. I think many of you would like this one. I know I will.

I noticed a few new members here. Few quick tips.

Here on RCU you can upload a .pdf or .tif file right to your post and it will appear as an attachment. Just click reply or quote i any post above to get the "upload" option and you can upload pictures, pdf's and tif files. This feature was added just a few days ago as plans have become very popular. If you have other types of files like CAD with different extensions just PM me and I can probably add those too.

Also we automatically resize images for you so you don't have to. Just make sure they are under 3MB's and the system will make a 800x600 full size and put the proper thumbnail in the post for you. No preprocessing necessary.

Marc
most of the new members are from RCGroups, which is down right now. gpw and thatovalguy are the kings of foamies, Cathode is the king of balsa. They have a lot to offer to this hobby and your site. I just hope the RCU regulars take advantage of the posts that they are making here.

I've built lots of gpw's designs and they fly great. Really super easy and solid designs. Build one, you won't be dissapointed. Here is his Horten design I built.... great flyer.

I never knew this was here until I was in the "library " looking at an old copy of QF.... a new opportunity to spread the Foamie word ....cool , seems nice !!! Lots of these guys are into arf's .....maybe we can convert a few to "builders" hahahahaha That's what happens when we go wondering off....

And Gee!! I can start all over again .....The Stealth Sport... I guess I'll have to UP date it now ....to CDr motor / mid engine (motor)... lots of possibilities ...

the biggest challenge is getting these guys to reply. If they would hold a conversation this place would take off.

Maybe your killer plans will be the jump start it needs.

Stringfly always has good looking planes. I would love to stay and chat but Little David just finished his IFO Mk3 and he is ready for its maiden. Looks like we are off to church to fly.

Does our "spiritual" involvement ,lessen our chances of crashing , or just make us restrain ourselves better when we do ??? Good Luck at church , don't make too much noise ....

Yes, there is HUGE crossover among glow/gas guys. I myself am a former glow guy that now flies electric, glow & even gas . Most of the glow guys I know do both now. We have some good activity in here and the more the merrier. We have built the platform which can scale as big as it needs to so hopefully more will find out what we offer.

Another resource here on RCU is Team RCU. All our Team RCU pilots fly the big stuff and the small 3D foamies too ( http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/teamrcu.cfm ). They are here posting on RCU sharing their knowledge throughout the forums and these are the best of the best. I encourage the new members to interact with them in their Team RCU forums or in the electric forums. Chip Hyde, McConville, Leseburg, Somenzini, Noll, Hicks, Sczur, Sabato, Austin, Jesky, Glavin are all part of Team RCU and more of the top pilots are coming soon!

Our mission at RCU is to have fun, share information, help guys find good deals, provide the best and most innovative tools to help modelers and hopefully the larger pool of modelers that continue to gather here provides for a better experience for everyone.

I am sure it should be the later of the two however, I have said a few things that I never imagined that I would say in church. Little David is laughing at me because he has heard it fall out of my mouth
