Default Art-tech Pitts 3D Biplane

Hello i Have a Art-tech Pitts Biplane 3D Four Channel and I wonder if anyone has had the problem i have had finding the parts for this plane i purchased the plane from HobbyLobby and contacted them and they said they would send me a new bottom wing but haven't hear from them since about amonth ago. Is there a direct soucre for parts for the plane. Hobby Lobby doesn't even advertise it anymore must have been a one time deal or something it looks an awful lot like the christen Eagle. i wouldn't be suprised if the parts aren't interchangable.

The main thing is i would like to find a good source to get replacement parts I damaged the bottom wing and need to replace it So anyone have any suggestion on were parts can be found would help alot.

this is an electric airplane not made for any type of nitro engine. Sig has alot of good .40 size planes and some are biplanes as do others towerhobbies has a pretty good variety just have to search the internet.

It's Important to note,,, that the Art-tech Pitts and the AhenZhen SAPAC Pitts s2a are not the same plane.

While they boast the same wingspan, they actually are different..
For example the the Art-tech wings are wider.
And the engine mounts are different
Just keep this in mind when looking for replacement parts.

SAPAC

And the AhenZhen SAPAC Pitts s2a will not fly without modifications an upgrades. I have the art tech and it would fly out of the box the S2A will not. Will fly good if it is upgraded with a brushless motor and lipo battery. Should be considered an ARF. Since basically it is wise to replace all the components in the AhenZhen SAPAC Pitts s2a .

I purchased the e AhenZhen SAPAC Pitts s2a for my son and it would not fly we changed the prop two a 2 bladed Art tech type prop and managed to get it in the air. But it didnt ahave the power to do a loop and would stall evedentilly it stalled severaly and hit the ground unable to recover and completely destroyedd the plane on impact.

The Art tech version is a much better Plane IMO. It has been crashed several times epoxied back together and still flys great. And comes with a Brushless motor and lipo battery and a better radio.

This is how my Art-Tech Pitts arrived from HobbyCity.
I don't have enough money to send it back to China .
Also no-one will answer my call there.

My first buying experiance with HobbyCity has not been a good one.

That is very disheartning to see mine ended up like that after i crashed it a couple times. It looks to be repairable. i fixed mine with 6 minute epoxy. i have broken the plane clean in half and snapped the bottom wing inhalf. But it still flys even after al the major repairs i have done.
But still thats not right they should give you a refund or something, i have looked at hobby City and there stuff it has good prices on the actual items i guess. But i could never bring myself to ordering from them becasue of there shipping System. and have myself to had very bad luck ordering things from China and then getting them and there damaged severly .

I purchased mine from Hobby-Lobby i beleive they have parts for the plane. I just glue mine back together.

Hot glue works great on this foam. Mine has been broke in two more than once I have the Cristen Eagle version. Great flying plane, even in windy weather.

Well, i finally got a response from Hobby City support.
They said they will replace the plane. VERY NICE of them to do that

They didn't give a date and,, i noticed the plane is out of stock...

Ha ha ha ,, o well

Time to go buy some EPOXY and hope for the best.

Hey, where is the power switch on this plane? I bought one and I think it's missing. And there is a wire I assume it should be connected to and a hole on the side that it could be placed in.

Thanks.

You have to add a switch between the ESC and the receiver.
i put mine facing down in the receiver bay.
The little two prong connector coming off the ESC is not a switch connector. tape over that connector be careful not to ground out the pins on it.
