Default Simple Foam Delta Wing, for fun or...COMBAT!

Hello all, just recently getting into anything airplane related, and only have gotten into helicopters since spring of this year. I was lucky enough to meet a now good friend at a local hobby shop who introduced me to the plans for this simple flyer that is primarily used for combat, but thus far has worked well for me to just sort of learn airplane orientation and flight for relatively cheap.

So, just figured I'd share the experience, an article with plans and a video of the construction, the first of the series whereas the second and third will be final touches and then flight itself.

Take care, all!

This is one of the best how to's I have seen on constructing anything.

I like your combat plane and have one similar to it, I bought it as an ARF at a fun-fly. I heard the ARF I bought was the predomiant combat plane at SETH in Americus Georga.

I mostly fly a version of combat simailar to your plane in thearticle, but the motor is mountedjust forward ofCG. I think I have more protection for my prop and motor this way(mid-mount).

Thanks for your presentation.

Hogpin,

Thank you very much for the compliments! I'd love to see some pictures of your mid-mount if you happen to have some, could make for another version for me to try out!

Well, some updates a year later, with hopefully cleaner plans, some electronics updates, and an intro to delta wing mixing just completed today:
