Not sure if this has been entered yet, and this is probably a lower priority than our login issues, but that being said: With the old site, everytime I went into a sub forum and then left it, all threads in the sub forum were marked as read whether I opened them or not. To do that now, I have to manually mark the sub forum as read. Is this going to be fixed and/or is there a setting that will make it behave like the old site where this occurs automatically?

Here is an odd one.
I get a notice of a new post to this thread. When I come to the thread, which has about 25 pages, it always takes me to page 3. And, of course I am not logged in even though I logged in 10 minutes ago.
I log in and then have to navigate to the end of the thread to find the post for which I received the notice.
Just odd.

I did try turning off thread subscriptions. Problem is its not emailing me
about new posts on subscribed threads - its emailing me about any post in the
entire forum! Every day. And I dont see how to turn that off.

Just got an email with this link in it (http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/foru...-new-post.html). It took me to page 24, not the latest page, and shows I am not logged in to the forum page. I clicked on sign in, took me to another page, I hit the back button in IE9 brouser, hit F5 for refresh and was logged in. Something is still wrong. RCG and FG web sites do not work like this.

Hello all, I've notice my member type has not updated on the forums. I've upgraded from the "basic membership" but the "plaque" still says "Basic Member" on my posts. I thought that was supposed to update automatically?

If I did not read it in the first place it is because I was not interested in that particular thread so it is nice to only see the threads highlighted with new posts - makes it a bit nicer. For those of us that are like minded, I hope it at least becomes a selectable option.

Win 7, IE 10. Start IE10 and click on a favorite to go to a forum. I have all the forums I visit bookmarked. Says I'm not logged in - Do I want to create an account? Click on Sign In and it takes me to my profile page where I am signed in. Click on the favorite for the forum again and now I'm signed in. Keeps me logged in, usually, until I close IE10. Then I get to do it all over again. Yes, I did all the cookie stuff, log in / log out from various places, etc. - didn't work.

New bug... this thread has disappeared from its spot in the top moving threads on the front page. Is that because it was made into a sticky? We shouldn't be giving people the impression that the bugs have been worked out.... this thread isn't easy to find in the listings....

got this result when clicking on the 18 at the bottom of page 17 to get to page 18. happened 3 times.

Ok, I know the RCU people are trying to get things fixed, but right now, this login/logout thing is getting frustrating. Also, I don't want to get an email every time someone replies to a thread that I post on. The old RCU worked and this upgrade or whatever has broken RCU.
Probably too late, but why wasn't the old RCU left up and have the new RCU set up as a test site to see what problems existed and to work out the bugs. I usually adjust to change, but it is hard to adapt when everything is so problematic.

How are you qualifying this statement ? I would actually go as far to say that there are no login problems at all. People are not having issues logging on. The problem is that you are logged off the forum randomly when moving from screen to screen and especially if you refresh a page or close your browser and return after any time period.

I followed advice, cleared all cookies, shut down FireFox then reopened. The pages still time out after a while if no activity, or leave RCU and come back at another hour, like clicking on an E-mail link for a subscription reply. I've found though that if one clicks on the "Log In", brings up their profile page without having to truly log in. Then click the back button, hit refresh, the web page is now updated with me logged in.It is not as good as the old way where you were automatically logged in, but for now it's a suitable work around for me.

Thank you for all your updates and comments. We truly apologize for the days of inconvenience and frustration this may have caused you.
Log in issue is still our #1 priority to fix. With number of users still having log-in issues, it was announced this morning that we will be going through another major login change today (Thursday), started at 11am (pacific). The process will take about 12 hours to complete.
We are trying our best to fix every problem that has been posting here. We appreciate all of your help and contribution.
Please, we ask for a bit more of time and patience! We are looking forward to get through this as much as you are.

Yes, there are still problems, but it seems to me the only big one I notice is the sign-in issue. There are a couple of things in this "new" RCU that are great. One is the ability to insert multiple pictures at once without having to do it one at a time like in the old RCU. I can highlight 6 or 7 pics and insert them all at once. One other new feature I absolutely love is the ability to read a new post in RCU while still in my email without having to click on the link and actually go into RCU to read the post. Log in issue is still our #1 priority to fix. With number of users still having log-in issues, it was announced this morning that we will be going through another major login change today (Thursday), started at 11am (pacific). The process will take about 12 hours to complete.
We are trying our best to fix every problem that has been posting here. We appreciate all of your help and contribution.
Please, we ask for a bit more of time and patience! We are looking forward to get through this as much as you are.

I have reported this problem to tech. We've tested and we cannot seem to reproduce this problem. What browser are you using? How often does this problem occur? Could you be able to provide us with some kind of image or screenshot?

New bug... this thread has disappeared from its spot in the top moving threads on the front page. Is that because it was made into a sticky? We shouldn't be giving people the impression that the bugs have been worked out.... this thread isn't easy to find in the listings....

Congradulations - I just figured you guys needed that. Yes, there are still problems, but it seems to me the only big one I notice is the sign-in issue. There are a couple of things in this "new" RCU that are great. One is the ability to insert multiple pictures at once without having to do it one at a time like in the old RCU. I can highlight 6 or 7 pics and insert them all at once. One other new feature I absolutely love is the ability to read a new post in RCU while still in my email without having to click on the link and actually go into RCU to read the post. The problems will eventually get fixed.

Here is an odd one.
I get a notice of a new post to this thread. When I come to the thread, which has about 25 pages, it always takes me to page 3. And, of course I am not logged in even though I logged in 10 minutes ago.
I log in and then have to navigate to the end of the thread to find the post for which I received the notice.
Just odd.

I did try turning off thread subscriptions. Problem is its not emailing me
about new posts on subscribed threads - its emailing me about any post in the
entire forum! Every day. And I dont see how to turn that off.

I'm not trying to be mean or a smart butt here but. I'll be the first person to admit I'm more ignorant than most when it comes to computers, but with the old version we didn't have to delete this, that or another to see things. If this version is supposed to be an improvement then why do we have to do all of this deleting now ? Thanks for your time on this.
