Roguedog,
The file size limits for PDF files is definitely larger than the 1.8 mb you say was the size of your file, so I don't know know your file didn't upload. I've sent an email to our tech staff about your issue with this upload. They should answer you back here in this thread, but if they answer me instead I'll pass their answer on to you. Either way, we'll do our best to get your issues worked out.

Update to PDF upload problem,

I tried the basic upload approach and got this error message:

"Mini Pro Article RCM Sept 1985-3.pdf: Your file of 2.18 MB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 19.5 KB for this filetype."

So I guess I was spot on for the ridiculously low file limit. Hope this helps them fix the issue

If you're ever this way (Clovis, NM), we're members of AMA and have a field: http://clovismads.rchomepage.com/pages/field.htm

Runways are asphalt.

RCKen, if you are ever headed this way, send a PM beforehand. Members here fly everything from the smaller electrics and nitro to quarter scale, helicopters, etc. flying. We'd like you to fly with us.

Thank you for your report. Our IT tech team has told me that the PDF file limit has now been increased to 5 megs. Please let me know if there are anymore problems!

Any chance of getting back the functionality of the old system where there was a listing at the top of the page that contained all the people that were reading the thread at that time?

It's already available - it's at the bottom however. Thank you.

Is there a possibility of duplicating the forum tree at the bottom like the old forum had so when I get to the end of the thread I don't have to scroll to the top or click on the Top button to get back up one level. The Quick Navagation buttons really are a pain to get back to the root of the current forum thread.

This at the bottom -

Home Forum RC Universe Support Forum questions or problems

instead of the Quick Navagation buttons which are pretty much useless. Was way faster having the thread tree in both places.

I am still having the same issue as before. I receive an email with a link, click on the link and it takes me to the wrong page. Is this issue ever going to be fixed? Just got this link: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/show...2&goto=newpost and it took me to page 239 not the last page 240. This seems to be a sporatic problem. I have logged off, cleared cache, deleted cookies, logged back to RCU, it might work correctly for a while, then starts taking me to the wrong page.

Question, as we are stuggling to find anything wrong to address this report. Did you "read / view" all of the posts since page 239? Even though the email says new post appeared on page 240; if you've not read page 239, your "new post" book mark will be page 239 since the first "unread" post appeared on page 239.

Yes sir, I had read all previous posts. Still takes me to page 239, not to page 240.

Just tried it again. The email link takes me to page 239 not page 240. Also, would like to know how to how to reset my "new post" book mark?

You would press "Mark forums read" option under the "Forum actions" dropdown in the navigation menu towards the top (but not the very top one for RCU)

This is not a sporadic problem... every new post email notification with a link in it does not take you to the new posts page. Actually that's a lie... it takes you to the correct page and just when the page finishes loading (on the correct page) the page reloads (refreshes) again and it's then taking you to some random page usually 1 or two pages back from the end of the thread.

If you use the the developer tools from the tools menu in chrome and look at the network trace of what pages are loading you can clearly see the page redirections and where the page refreshed to take you to the incorrect page.

Please fix... it's annoying as heck especially when your on a mobile device.

This is getting old. I just received 7 new email messages. Three for another web site (RCG) and three from another web site (TFC). All their links in the emails took me directly to the last post in the forum. Not RCU. It is still taking me to page 239. Marking forums as READ does not solve my problem. This link (http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/show...2&goto=newpost) took me to the wrong page. Please check. This has been going on for so long. Once I open my email, click on the link, get sent to the wrong page, I can bring up the email message from my quick launch bar, click on the link a second time and it opens a new tab in IE9 and then takes me to the last page. Should do it on the first click of the link.
