Here are a couple questions that will help us to help you:

• Multi-rotor or fixed wing?
• What type of distances do you intend to fly?
• Do you have experience soldering?
• Do you already own a RC transmitter (Control)?
• Are you open to starting simple? (holding off on head tracking, etc.)
• If you have friends flying FPV what are they using? (They can be a lot of help)

I intend to fly planes as of now and progress to quadcopter in the future
I dont mind doing something about 1 or 2 miles.
im alright with soldering (intermediate)
I own an old Dx7 Spektrum Receiver
I really really want head tracking badly...
i dont have friends who fly yet

All good stuff. It will hit your budget hard, especially when it doesn't include an aircraft.

How price sensitive are you? The stuff the other guy ordered is mainstream and will work fine.

You can also get started a for a lot lower cost and figure out where to go from there.
Fixed wing or multi rotor?

I fly 100% fixed wing electric planes. Ideally, I'd like to stay under $300 if possible.
