Default We're developing new VTOL FPV aircraft. We need your feedback!

Hello guys & Gals,

A partner and I are looking to start a side business making some complete VTOL aircraft for FPV use and we need your input. We would like to design our own kits for you all or even work with other designer's as well. We'd love for everybody to get in on the VTOL hobby as it is very exciting! Building and flying these things is addictive and very useful for FPV!

We would love your input on our current concept below. Feel free to tell us what you hate or what you love about it! Tell us what you would rather have as well! They more you let us know, the better this airplane could be.

CURRENT STATUS:
-Determine average FPV payload
-Determine desired flight time
-Determine average FPV equipment used (OSD, GPS, Telemetry, Antennas, Cameras, etc)

Please let us know about your set ups and opinions

a little more info;

The plane uses separate motors for lift and flight. The GREEN props lift during Hover mode and the RED prop pushes during Flight mode. The RED is turned off when hovering. The GREEN is turned off when flying forward. Both are powered when transitioning from one flight mode to the other.

This allows for the use of ANY flight controller and would enable GPS features to be used such as waypoints or autonomous flying, if supported by the chosen flight controller. No need for fancy flight controllers. Minimum radio requirements will be 6-channels.

The wing will be detachable for transporting & shipping and the tail will detach as well into two wing pieces and two booms.

The use of a Pan & Tilt camera mount is being considered. Not only would you be able to look ahead, you could also look 90 degrees above, below, and side to side to help spot those landings in HOVER mode or inspect what ever you happen to be spying on!

Cargo room will accommodate up to a ~5Ah battery and any FPV Gear you would like. (OSD, Vid Tx, OSD-GPS, Camera Gimbal Controller, etc) The front nose plate will be able to be removed with the electronics tray for easier maintenance of your FPV gear.

If you really would love to help, we also have a quick survey with a reward at the end for those who complete it.

We look forward to your responses everyone!
