    Dual Throttle Transmitters

    Hi Support,

I am looking to modify my 6 series transmitter to have a DUAL Throttle on the left side for use in model boats controlling two motors. Is there a unit I can buy/make or instructions that I can get on how to do this??

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Regards Jeff

    RE: Dual Throttle Transmitters

We know of no modules or stick assemblies that would allow you to make a dual-stick throttle for twin-engined boats. We also know of no instructions or even magazine articles of such a modification.

    RE: Dual Throttle Transmitters

Do you want to have two separate throttle controls (one for each motor) -or- simply have the throttle stick control two motors?

    RE: Dual Throttle Transmitters

    HI Bax,

Thanks very much for the quick reply.

After I posted this, I did a lot of web searching and came across a company called Robbe/Futaba (Germany/England) and found that they have a very expensive dual throttle module (111.3 Euros). What is the relationship between them and Futaba? The radio that the module fits is either an F-14 or FC-16.

I could not find any other mention of a dual throttle unit for sale.

BTW, does Futaba sell a replacement stick unit? If yes, where can I buy one?

    Thanks again for your reply.

    Regards Jeff

    RE: Dual Throttle Transmitters

Send me your postal address and I will send you a copy of an article I wrote years ago on DIY such a
transmitterl It was not based on a Futaba, but it might give you some ideas.
And I still have some stick assemblies.

We don't know what item you are talking about because you did not give us the part number for us to locate it. However, Robbe/Futaba items are something Futaba makes for Robbe to their specifications. they are not items that would be available in North America.
