I’ve been trying to update my 14MZ. I can’t find any directions in the manual for this. This is what I have tried.
I downloaded the update and saved it to the hard drive.
I then right clicked on the file and selected open with….compressed (zipped) folders.
I then clicked on extract all files. The wizard opened and I selected the CF card as the destination. It then stated that the files had been successfully extracted. One new folder and two new files were added to the root directory of the CF card. The new folder was named Update and the two files were named T12mzUpdate (dat file) and T12mzUpdate (Application).
In the Update folder was another folder named “0” and in that folder was five files
Genm2329.cde
Genw2329.cde
T14MZ
T14MZ.abx
uGen2329.cde.
I then installed the CF card into the transmitter and turned it on and then went to the information window and it still reads
windowsCE Ver 4.20(0)
editor Ver 1.2.1
encoder Ver 1.39
I have tried this several times with the same results. I even tried deleting the other folders on the CF card and got the same results.
What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like you may have missed flipping the "hidden" update switch in the TX just based on a quick glance of your post.

Thanks to everyone that posted and sent PM's.
I did eventually find instructions on the Futaba web site that mentioned the switch.
I appreciate your help
