Why won't a gryo work on #7 but works fine on #4 the reciver is a 7 chan. 2.4

It could be that ch 7 is not proportional and is only meant for things like flaps or retracts

Are only 1-4 proportional? #7 is for my sterring servo and would like to add a gyro on it.

Hard to say. All systems are different. Test it with a servo and see what happens

Frank, I am flying with a GY401 gyro on channel 7 on a 7C Fasst system with a R617FS receiver. Just make sure channel 7 is set to the switch you want to use in the parameter page.
