Default 12Z Programmable Mix Questions

Once you have selected one of the programmable mixes and you are on the second page there are two rows titled "master" and "slave" and in each row is column titled "link" and "mode". Under the "link" column the selection are 'off', '+' and '-'. Please tell me specifically for both master and slave what these link and what does + or - mean. Secondly, in the "link" column on the "slave" row is a box 'stk-stk', what exactly does this do and can you provide an example. I honestly love this radio, and I know you have heard this before, but, the manual, in some places is worthless. Thanks for you help.

Howard

Default RE: 12Z Programmable Mix Questions

In mixes, the Link setting allows one mix to affect another. The "+" and "-" are for forward mixing and back mixing. So, if you have a mix that you want to be affected when another mix is active, you set the "master" mix to "+" and the "slave" mix to "-".

"Stk-Stk" means that the slave channel AFR mode (STK-STK mode) may be selected, where the slave channel AFR and D/R settings are observed when Link function is set.
