12Z CF cards
Is it necessary to re-format a generic CF card or can it be used with the default format they come with in a 12Z?
Is there a downloadable program to format a generic 128MB CF card to use in my 12Z, similar to the way generic SD cards can be formatted for my 12FG? All the vendors are inconveniently out of Futaba cards until late April.

No it is not neccessary to "reformat" a CF card used in the 12Z or the 14MZ. You will need to do this only with the SD cards in the 8FG and 12FG.
Also you can use a CF card that you purchase from any retail outlet.
