14Mz crow braking
Hi
I am trying to set up CROW or butterfly braking on my jet when i set full landing flap. I noticed you can get butterfly braking but only on the Glide settings. The only way i have come up with so far is to use a condition set to turn on when i deploy full flap and puts in a trim offset to both ailerons.
Is there an easier way of doing it?
Thanks in advance
Mike

Set one of the virtual channels to CAMBER. Then, go into the Camber Mix in the Model Menu. It will allow you to set which control will work and will also allow you to set it up separately for each condition. The Camber Mix will allow you to adjust how the Ailerons, Flaps, and Elevators all work together. Remember to use "SINGLE" to make specific operation details local to the landing condition.

RE: 14Mz crow braking
Hi Bax
Thanks for the reply. Without showing my ignorance too much. What is a virtual channel? Can't find it in the manual.

RE: 14Mz crow braking
The virtual channels are listed as VC1 through VC4. They are not "actual" channels in the sense that they are transmitted to the model. Rather, they are kind of like a "master" mix. They can be used to control actual channels or mixes. For example, by defining one of the virtual channels as "Camber", you can now mix ailerons, elevators, and flaps without using up a channel that gets sent to the receiver. In older systems, you'd have to take a channel out of service and then apply several mixers to it to get the same result. It effectively reduces the number of channels you send to the receiver...only the functions needed are sent, the rest is done inside the transmitter.
