Default new screen for futaba 14 MZ

Gentlemen:
I purchased a Futaba 14 MZ when they first came out, and several months after that, I sent it in for a new screen.
Apparently there is a further update on the screen, and I noticed online that several people have had this replaced at no charge - or a minimum charge.
My screen does work, but you have always needed to use quite a lot of pressure to select anything on it.
I am sure my radio is not under warranty, as I got it in 1995 or so, when they were first released, but was wondering what the policy was on the new screen.
My 14 MZ has less than 14 hours on it.
Just got one of the new 18 MZ radio's on Dec 23, and it is fantastic.
Thanks
Ron Jahnig

Default RE: new screen for futaba 14 MZ

Hi Ron,

If the radio is over the warranty by a year or so, we can generally slide this on through as warranty, but being 6 years it most likely cannot be done. The cost on a new screen is around $140.00 not counting postage.

Sincerely,
