8FGS Want Optical Kill on SC bottom position
I am using a RCXCEL optical kill switch on two of my gassers. I also use the idle down and throttle cut on SC so that the mid position is "normal" idle, upper position is higher throttle, and the "low" switch position is throttle cut. I'd like to use an AUX channel so that the low position of SC also activates the optical kill switch. I want the optical kill switch to only activate in the lower SC position. In one plane it works fine in the other the kill switch activates at mid switch position and low position. When I assigned the kill switch to the SC switch, I did not get a menu option of what switch position I would like to assign. Can you assist?
Thanks

When you assign a channel to a switch, you cannot assign which position does what. A 3-position switch controls a channel by 3 postions: endpoint #1, middle, endpoint #2. You can, however, use a mix, and have a channel be the master AND the slave. Then, set the switch position that turns on the mix to the desired position, with the other positions as "off". Set both mix percentages to the same value, such as "-100%". Check to see if it works correctly, otherwise, set both endoints to "+100%". That will likely do the trick for you. When the mix is "on", then it moves the channel to the desired point to control the kill switch.
If you have a point mix, just set all the points so that you have a flat, horizontal line, and it will be at "+100%" or "-100%".
