Default 14SG telemetry alert question

Can I find out if there is a way to use a switch to turn the telemetry alarm/alert on and off? This is on the 14SG.

For example, if I'm using the Altitude sensor in a powered glider and set the variometer alerts to: lets say +3 m/s for climbing in a thermal and -3 m/s for when in sinking air; wouldn't these alarms be going off during the initial climb out (and each subsequent climb) and when I decide to spiral down from a thermal? I haven't received the altitude sensor yet as they are backordered. But I don't see any mention of assigning a switch to turn the telemetry function on/off.

Having to activate the function before every climb would be really a hassle and having to look away from the plane is not good.

Thanks for any info

Default RE: 14SG telemetry alert question

The alert cannot be turned and off at will by a switch. It can only be done inside the telemetry function in the transmitter.
