12FG. Warnings
Hi Bax
Ive just started to use a 12fg (coming from a 12x). I find the programming to be more flexible but, I can't seem to figure out how to set a warning for when my gear switch is in the "up" position at start up. The warnings seem to be limited to a pre established list and the gear switch is not an option.
I never realize how how many times this option saved me from turning on with the gear up on my 12x. I've already dumped several jets on their belly turning on the 12fg
regards,
Mike

I did come up with a "work around" that seems to do the trick. I assigned Airbrake to the same switch as my landing gear and turned on the warning for it. Now, when I boot up and the gear switch is in the wrong position, I at least get the "Airbrake" warning and it won't transmit.
Is this the only way to accomplish what I'm after?
Thanks
Mike

Another way is to set the gear switch in its own condition so that when you raise the gear, you activate that condition. You don't have to set anything else, so that nothing else is affected. Then, if the condition is on, you'll get the condition warning. Moving the gear switch to the "gear down" position then turns off the warning.
That's about it. Turning on the airbrake, even without actually using it does the same thing. Set the airbrake on the gear switch and you get the same thing as I mentioned above.
