I just purchased an 18SZ. I currently use an 8FG. Is there a method to import my models from the 8FG to the 18SZ? I suspect the answer is no but wanted to stop in here for a definitive answer.

You cannot directly import 8FG files into the 18SZ. However, you can import 8FG files directly into a 14SG. They get converted into 14SG format. You can then use the file utility to convert 14SG files to work with the 18SZ. If you have a friend with a 14SG, please enlist their help.
