Default Trainer system supports Mode change 18MZ?

Hi Bill,
Am I correct inferring that when using a trainer cord between an 18MZ (Teacher) and a 12Z or 18SZ (Student) that the mode of the transmitters (Mode 1 and Mode 2) can still be set up correctly?

To clarify the question, can the Teacher can fly the plane as Mode 1 on his Tx and the Student can fly as Mode 2 on his Tx?

Are there any other considerations that the mode change requires? I should add that I ultimately intend to use a WTR-7, but does it handle only 7 channels?

Thanks,
Len

With those transmitters, you need to make sure that the functions are mapped in the same manner, so if one transmitter has elevator on channel 1, mapped to the stick that controls the elevator, then the other tranmitter needs to have its elevator function on the same channel and mapped to the stick that controls the elevator...and so on for the other functions.

You then double-check to make sure that the transmitters operate the controls in the model in the proper manner.

Got it... I can simply create a new model in the Student Tx and map it the same as the Teacher Tx...
That gets around the Mode 1 and 2 issue as well as the Tx issue.
Thanks again,
Len
