Default Is Futaba 14SG being replaced?

I have noticed on the RC Japan website that the status of the Futaba 14SG radio is "Discontinued". The radio is currently available in the US, however. So I am wondering if anyone has heard if the radio is being replaced?

The Futaba 14SG has not been dropped. We have scheduled deliveries well into the Fall.

We deleted a few posts because this is not a discussion forum. Per RCU rules, only Futaba reps may post replies to people asking questions of the Futaba Support staff.

Thanks for the reply.

I have another unrelated question. If a Futaba radio system is purchased from RC Japan, would the radio be serviceable in the US (Hobbico) or would it need to be returned to Japan or other location for servicing? I don't know Futaba's servicing policy so I thought I would ask.

It would not be legal to us in the U.S. because it would not have an FCC sticker on it. We'd not be able to perform any repairs because it would not be FCC-legal. For any warranty or other service, you'd have to send it to the foreign seller or the service center for their region.

Ok, understood. Thank you.
